Overview

The existence of the Faculty of Economics Management, Parahyangan Catholic University, is regulated in the UNPAR Rector’s Regulation Number lll/PRT/20l8-05/049 concerning the Organizational Structure and Structural Job Descriptions of Faculties within Parahyangan Catholic University.

Specialization Program

Currently, the Faculty of Economics at UNPAR offers three programs:

  • Bachelor of Management
  • Master of Management
  • Doctor of Economics

Mission and Vision 

Mission
  1. To connect academics and students of Management, alumni, the business world, and communities, both locally and internationally, to build collaboration in order to achieve a better life through the development, dissemination, and application of humanistic, pluralistic, and dialogical management science.
  2. To provide education and learning in the field of management that combines academic excellence and character building, developing students’ knowledge and skills to prepare them to carry out their roles in the future, both locally and globally, by involving them in activities relevant to their future careers in accordance with the situations and conditions they face.
  3. Developing knowledge through research in management fields relevant to national development and the integrity of the natural environment by exploring local potential and bringing it to the global level.
  4. Conducting community service activities in the field of management based on research finding
Vision

To become a global academic community that is humanistic in the field of Management Science, for the betterment of humanity and the integrity of nature.s.

    Objectives

    The general objective of the Management Department is to initiate a new era in management science that is humanistic, creative, pluralistic, dialogical, and ecological. Therefore, the Department of Management must develop human capital capable of advancing knowledge, particularly in management, through internal and external collaboration, and enhance its reputation as one of the leading academic communities in management, serving as a reference both in Indonesia and internationally.

    The Department of Management is also aligned with the University in setting strategic objectives to achieve the established goals, namely academic strategic objectives and organizational strategic objectives. The strategic objectives in the academic field are: (1) a warm, progressive, creative, and enthusiastic learning environment both offline and online; (2) producing competent graduates with leadership qualities and a passion for continuous learning, in line with future demands; (3) a Center of Excellence for collaborative and inspiring research; (4) organizing dialogic, humanistic, and inspiring forums. The strategic objectives of the organizational field are: (1) A well-structured and well-managed organizational framework, including collaboration within the department, with other departments within UNPAR, and with external parties; (2) Reliable and comfortable facilities and infrastructure, including information technology; (3) Diversified funding sources; (4) Effective management of human resources and students that promotes well-being, productivity, and leadership development.

    Objectives

    The Department of Management at UNPAR has two objectives, namely academic strategic objectives and organizational strategic objectives. The strategic objectives in the academic field are:

    • The study program is a warm, progressive, creative, and passionate place of learning, both online and offline.
    • the program is a producer of competent graduates with leadership qualities and a passion for continuous learning, in line with future demands;
    • Center of Excellence producing collaborative and inspiring research;
    • The Department of Management as an organizer of dialogic, humanistic, and inspiring forums.

    Career Prospects

    Based on information from alumni survey data, most graduates of the UNPAR Bachelor of Management Program have successfully secured entry-level and mid-level management positions in both private and government companies. Some graduates have become entrepreneurs, while others have pursued careers as young researchers and continued their studies both domestically and abroad. Therefore, the curriculum should take the following into consideration:

    1. The curriculum of the UNPAR Bachelor of Management Program needs to be further enhanced with the application of theory into management and business practices. This can be achieved through collaboration between the Bachelor of Management Program and alumni and industry practitioners.
    2. The curriculum of the UNPAR Bachelor of Management Program needs to further enhance students’ soft skills, such as design thinking, problem solving and decision making, teamwork and communication skills.
    3. The curriculum of the UNPAR Bachelor of Management Program needs to organize activities that enhance research and publication capabilities using various research methods.
