Doctoral Program in Economics

Overview

The Doctoral Program in Economics at Parahyangan Catholic University is one of the programs offered by the Faculty of Economics at Parahyangan Catholic University, established in 2018. The Doctoral Program in Economics currently uses the 2023 curriculum oriented towards Outcome Based Education (OBE), which is based on the process of achieving international accreditation. The 2023 OBE curriculum is a curriculum development based on graduate learning outcomes (GLOs). This curriculum emphasizes the continuity of the learning process to produce high-quality graduates who are capable of addressing current challenges.

Specialization Program

The increasing interest in pursuing further studies at the doctoral level, particularly in management and accounting, has made these two fields of study quite popular in the UNPAR Doctoral Program in Economics.

Mission and Vision

Mission

1. To connect academics and students within the Department of Management Science, alumni, the business world, and communities, both locally and internationally, to build collaboration in order to achieve a better life through the development, dissemination, and application of humanistic, pluralistic, and dialogic management science.
2. To provide education and learning in the field of management that combines academic excellence and character building, developing students’ knowledge and skills to prepare them to carry out their roles in the future, both locally and globally, by involving them in activities relevant to their future careers in accordance with the situations and conditions they face.
3. Developing knowledge through research in management fields relevant to national development and the integrity of the natural environment by exploring local potential and bringing it to the global level.
4. Conducting community service activities in the field of management based on research findings.

Objectives

To implement and realize the Vision and Mission of the Faculty of Economics, the Department of Management and the Department of Accounting, which are operated by the Economics Doctoral Program at UNPAR, the primary objective of the program is “To produce graduates who are internationally competitive and capable of conducting research and contributing to society in the fields of Management and Accounting, based on the values of SINDU.”

Accreditation

The Doctoral Program in Economics at Parahyangan Catholic University has been accredited with a Good status effective from December 27, 2021, to September 4, 2025, based on the decision of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education of the Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia, No. 1849/SK/BAN-PT/Ak-PNB/DV/2023.
