POR MENE 2018 was opened with a dance performance from the combined class of 2016 and 2017, followed by an opening statement from POR MENE 2018’s chief executive, Kevin Andreas, Leader of HMPSM 2017/2018 period, Mirza Gumbira, and Vice Dean of Student and Alumni Affairs, Mr. Tanto Kurnia, S.T., M.A., M.Ak. Then, at the closing ceremony, there was a parade of champions, where the first and second-place winners from each sport were paraded from the OBC Sports Center to the Economics Student Center for medal distribution. Furthermore, an innovation implemented at POR MENE 2018 was the success of the committee to invite lecturers to participate in the futsal sport as participants. The lecturers’ team managed to generate audience euphoria after winning 3 out of 4 matches in the group phase, but unfortunately, they did not manage to qualify for the next phase.
